Life Update

Hey Friends! I can't believe it is already May and somehow our little family has been through so much change. I don't usually get personal with my posts because I like to keep it strictly business on here. But if this year has taught me anything...it is months like these that I feel especially blessed to be supported by such amazing people, people like you!

J A N U A R Y

In January of this year my family said "till we meet again" to my incredible mother of 52 years. She had been wrestling with cancer for years and through the Christmas season until about a week after the new year we encountered her last weeks and ultimately her home going. Ricky and I had moved back to my childhood home during this time and were honored to come along side the rest of my family as we cared for her and treasured our final moments together, literally "Walking her home".

February became a month of transitions. Ricky and I both decided we wanted to move back to my home town area to be close to family as we try to learn how to do life in Mama's absence but also encounter the new joy of parenthood. What?! Yep! Surprise...Baby Grey is due May 25th 2018. Since the fall/winter months were dedicated to spending time with family, we found ourselves in a mad dash to relocate and sort out all our pre-baby decisions before he came. This lead Ricky to start a new Job and ultimately relieve the need for me to work corporately for the near future.

March got even busier. We welcomed a new nephew and the Lord found us a house to buy that we were set to move into the end of the month. As much as I always intended to be my own boss it was very hard to say goodbye to the awesome team members I have had working my other design job these last couple years. They sent me off with a beautiful baby shower and eyes full of tears. But that's okay because that means I am fortunate enough to know some incredible people.

April was spent finally nesting! Ricky worked along side me, becoming whatever type of handyman I needed, to get the house in the perfect shape for our lil man soon to arrive. We were thrown another baby shower from our church and it became glaringly clear that though these months have been crazy hard and crazy beautiful, the people you surround yourself with are a huge part of your future success.

W H A T N O W ?

Well May is finally here (I say finally but it truly feels like a blink)! We are a few days out from having Grey and we are thrilled to be where the Lord has put us. As of now, I am officially working full-time in BRIMdesign which has been a dream for forever. We have already had some large design projects come through this month and we are so thankful for all the business you all continue to send our way. Truly. We could not do what we do if it weren't for faithful friends and clients. It is an honor to serve you and we hope to keep doing just that for many many years to come.

Be on the lookout for some new promotions, giveaways, and products we will be adding to our business. In addition to those things we are going to be starting a referral program so you all can benefit from the clients you keep sending our way ;). We hope to feature a lot more deals and discounts for your benefit.

So here is to the second half of the year, a full-time dream, and the worlds best clients! Thanks, as always, for being on this journey with us!
