DOWNTOWN SOUTHERN PINES
Downtown Southern Pines is a storybook town. From the timeless train depot and the corner shop ice cream parlor to the book stores and charming lantern-lit sidewalks, it serves as a well-rounded setting for professional and family photos alike.
If you're looking for a small-town strip with a little more luxe in it, then downtown Pinehurst is just that. As the locals know it, this is where the more ritzy community dwellers usually spend their time and the shops and architecture match it seamlessly.
RASSIE WICKER PARK / BIRD SANCTUARY
Rassie Wicker Park is one of the lesser-known and yet stunningly beautiful areas of Moore County. It has beautifully wooded areas, walking paths, and wicker arbor ways and bridges. To add to the already perfect setting, it backs up against a bird sanctuary which creates an even more inspiring setting.

Sandhills Horticultural Gardens is a living piece of art. It is wonderfully categorized into different themes and variety types which creates a wide array of settings for your photos all in one place.
SANDHILLS COLLEGE CAMPUS
If you have something a little bit more urban or scholarly in mind, the Sandhills College Campus has a nice selection of architectural settings that make for clean, angular headshot backgrounds.
PHILLIPS MEMORIAL PARK
This park is a gem to the locals but not that many outsiders know it is there. Phillips Memorial Park is a sacred park with mostly greenspaces, a small bride, and beautiful fields that surround a humble pond. It is a great site for earthy family and brand sessions.
Carthage is a "blink and you miss it" town but that doesn't stop it from being a fun rural backdrop for photos. It has a beautiful collection of localized murals and walls with texture that can really make you pop in your next session.
Vass is a small town build right off the original HWY 1 strip. It has one row of shops and a large warehouse that is still in use. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in visual interest, and the local coffee shop makes a mean Iced chai tea latte.
